[planning] No. 6 events
« on: May 26, 2014, 02:04:43 pm »
Well, our first No. 6 week is going to start soon and we had suggested that we should have such an event every 4-5 months.

When I consider our current one I have to admit that it’s pretty hard to do something for each day. (It’s just possible for me to do so because I'm still not able to go to work... ^^°)
I think we have too many topics for just one week and not enough time, so that some people aren't able to participate or they feel probably bad because they are “just” able to do something for only one day... (._.)

What I’m trying to say is that it might be better to have more small events regularly. It should be easy and inviting to participate and we could start a poll here each month to choose the topic for the next theme day. We can create a really big topic list… I mean we already have 7 topics, and I’m sure we’ll find even more.

I mean it doesn’t exclude a No. 6 week once in a while, and special events like Shion’s birthday. Of course not…^^

Well, I’ve started a poll… you have 30 days to take a vote on it.
So, what do you think about it? I’d love to hear your opinions.

Well, I go for the weekend because it's just easier and more often ^^ So you'll be able to participate quite regularly even if you have to pass one month or two ... Does this make any sense at all? Wouldn't mind the second possibility though ^^ Yeah ... Just my two cents ...

I like the monthly idea! It gives me something to work on each month and do well rather than rush a lot of things. Plus it's something to always look forward to!

How about the 6th of each month? It'd definitely be easy to remember that one.

Oh, yes, that's a good idea. The 6th of every month could be the No. 6 Day.

The No. 6 Week was/is a great idea... it was necessary to breathe new life into our fandom. A lot of people seem to appreciate it. And the various topics will help to create a lot of different No. 6 themed artworks [hopefully] in a short time. Even if some works are quick and rushed doesn't mean that they're bad. Sometimes... a quick sketch can be more interesting than a 36hours without sleep artwork. XD

But well, of course I agree with you, that's why I started this poll. I have to admit, I wanted to vote for the No. 6 Weekend, but I totally like your idea... that's why I vote for the No. 6 Day. I mean one day is enough... and even if you worked on something but failed to post it on that day doesn't mean you can't post it a few days later. ^^ It's not obligatory.

Oh I really like the idea of the 6th of each month being No.6 day ! It's a really nice thought^^ And in September that's when we can have a special event, that includes Sept 6th and 7th !

Is arriving late with Starbucks still a thing? 'Cause here I am. -plants down Starbucks cup-

(Still in time to vote, right? ^^;; )

No. 6 Week was really great, and I'm so glad to see it returning in all poll options!!!
I chose No. 6 Day, because the 6th of every month is too fitting to pass up. Plus it's always clear when the next Day is gonna be, so you can start preparing in advance with an easy idea of how much time you have left. And if it's only one day, people might not feel so rushed to prepare new stuff? I mean, if you have two days in a row like in a weekend every month, it might get to be a bit much after a while. Though that's just my personal feeling, of course.
(And of course September 7 as a special day, but I guess that's kind of a given)

It's never too late to vote. XD
Well, this poll is running till June 25, 2014.

But I guess most people will agree with the No. 6 Day once each month. ^^° It's just the best thing and it doesn't mean that we can't have other, bigger events, too.

It's like you said... you've one month to prepare your stuff. I guess that's more than enough, and even if you don't want to participate, you still have the next month left. (Or you can post your stuff afterwards XD I mean nobody forces people to post it then. But I guess it helps to keep people motivated to be creative.)

And we could chose the topics in advance for a while and start with the first No. 6 Day in July or August. ^^  (Ok, July is probably not enough time... on the other hand... it's just one day and not a whole week...) When we chose pre-reunion again it would be easy to participate.
