Ahh, I've never heard about that before, but sounds like fun. ^^ I'd love to do something like that one day, but I guess it might be difficult in our fandom. But I think we should keep that in mind once things have settled a bit. You said a mini big bang would be enough... So it could be a summer event like No. 6 week, when most people have vacation. Maybe something like that.

Ahiku's right, that really sounds amazing and like fun. Unfortunately, I know that I don't work with deadlines well ... I mean, I just finished the first chapter of my new fic and it's about 10K words (bit less) and I needed over three months xD

Oh, if you make it ... a bit smaller, it might be possible to do for quite a few people :3 We should totally keep this in mind :D

Yeah, mini is probably for the best. Maybe put the minimum at 5k or less, in order not to pressure people. And of course not immediately, haha. But glad to hear you like the idea at least! I personally found it a lot of fun because it's a collaborative effort, plus you get a load of awesome fic and art in a short time. (I also felt it was motivating - I'm also terrible with deadlines, but it helps if you know your artist is waiting for you to finish so they have more to work with, haha.)

Just throwing my two cents in again, haha.

I was thinking about the problem of either having or not having prompts for No. 6 day. Personally, I think that I'd like the inspiration of such a prompt. Even something as small as just, Shion's Birthday. (I know that was mentioned. And I like it!) As for the other days, though, what about them?

Well. It occurred to me: why not start a thread here, with prompts and/or art requests? Like, somebody could go into that thread, say, "I really wanna see writing on this topic!" and then on No. 6 day, the people who want to participate can just go to the board, look at the suggested topics, and say, "Oh, that sounds cool. I like that idea. Guess I'll do that." That way people who want certain art have a chance of seeing it without having to contact an artist directly if they're shy, and the artist gets a source of inspiration.

Of course, doing an idea from this board wouldn't have to be limited to No. 6 day. It's just that, since No. 6 day is the marked-out time for doing fanarts and writing for No. 6 anyway, at least you'd have the board around for those times when you feel like participating.

Hm, that would be a good inspiration too to find broader themes (like for No. 6 week this year) if there are more themed days to come, too. Even if everyone only has two ideas, that's still a lot to pick from if they all contribute. Nice!

That's really cool. Maybe it's possible to let people chime in anonymously too, via tumblr or something, just in case they're really shy or don't want to join anything? Though that's maybe a bit risky re: spam...

I like that idea too. Personally, I like prompts very much, especially for certain events that just call for some little piece of writing or art ... since I suck at coming up with inspiration when I need to xD

And yeah, we could try including tumblr too. Like, you collect a few anon asks and bundle them all in one post - that way, the thread wouldn't suddenly be too crowded if we'd get a lot of suggestions ^^"

The nice thing about Tumblr is that it's got a tonne of AU ideas floating around, ready for the borrowing. I reblog all the ones I see, actually. So if we ever feel lazy, but need that kind of prompt, just drop me a line and I'll provide like, hundreds of other people's AU ideas.

Oh yes, I like this big bang idea. I'm down.
