I was going to write a text but then I read Ahiku's and now I highly doubt that I can top that. XD

But I was wondering if we should all take on aliases to differentiate the mods that are posting? It wouldn't matter when we're sourcing or creating something that has to do with the blog as a whole, but when answering questions or anything else that may arise that we all may do a bit differently I think it would be useful. Especially since we all don't type or think the exact same way.

It's not necessary, but just a suggestion that suddenly appeared in my mind! >w<

Oh, also Ahiku would rubric be the best word? Maybe it's because I've had so many education classes but I associate a rubric with a grading scale.

@curiousscarletteyes

Yeah, I guess we can just answer the ask then and sign with our username then... or with a nickname. I guess I'd just use Ahiku. ^^

Oh, what do you suggest instead? :3 (And is the rest of the text ok? Or is there something weird or wrong? Prepositions? I suck when it comes to prepositions ^^° Could you also check the texts here, please? Since we'll be using them again and again...   http://no6.createaforum.com/conference-room/guidelines-and-text-sources-for-sourcing/?message=412)

@Ahiku

Ah, that works too! ^ ^

As for a suggestion. . .I'm not sure. I don't really know what exactly we're trying to convey here. It wouldn't be a rubric but maybe. . .OTL I have no idea. I have to think of a word. Lol.

Quote
In our rubric “fanworks of the month” we will present and recommend No. 6 fanfictions, fanarts and interesting blogs to you.  Maybe that’s your chance to find someone new to follow you haven’t noticed yet, more good fanfictions to read or an upcoming favorite artist! Who knows? ;D
But to do this, we need your help. So you guys are on the spot!
What’s your favorite No. 6 related blog? What’s your favorite fanart or fanfiction?
To participate you can submit (link to our submit page) your suggestions directly on our blog or you can visit our forum (link to our forum).
We’ll present the “fanworks of the month” at the end of each month and save the other suggestions for later use.
So keep voting for your favorite!

OTL I always feel horrible correcting people who don't speak it as a first language on grammar because I get the jist of the statement and- rjkgnssrjengrjnhdtr. But I don't mean to be insulting or anything like that! ;w; I just wanna help you guys learn.

Fanart is plural, so we wouldn't need the s :3 If we used fanworks, then we'd need it.
I believe fanfiction is the same way. We'd say: "I'm reading a fanfiction" or "I've read different fanfiction and-"
These two words are kinda like Anime. Both singular and plural.

That's could maybe be "it's?" It sounds a little better.

kjengrejgbsjerfkbesjrgbjseg. Instead of pointing everything out I rewrote it so that I don't clog up space ;-;

Revised:

The other texts are good! The only thing I noticed in:

@Ahiku Apparently that makes you eloquent xD

Ah, yeah. I forgot to mention ^^" I got it and wondered if it was a test :)

@Yuneyn I didn't even notice that.

@Curiousscarletteyes And I didn't notice the typo you mentioned either ... Good thing more than two people are reading over this ^^"
And don't feel bad about correction non-native speakers. That's why we ask all kinds of people to read over the texts we write xD To learn - so it doesn't come off as rude or anything like that. At least that's how I feel :)

I feel awkward jumping into the conversation again, but is there anything I can do to help out? It seems like everything's really well managed and help isn't really needed, but I'm willing to do something if needed...

Hi guys^^

I just thought of something regarding the forum and the members of the RC blog.
Wouldn't it be useful to have a private category of the forum, reserved to the admins of the blog, to talk strictly about blog administration and stuff?

Of course, any new project could still be presented here, as a means to gain new followers... But I'm guessing that if we want to talk about other stuff (such as the top3 of the month, or how to answer asks if we ever got hate or things like that, or other things I wouldn't know about yet... could also be a little guidelines for admins so that anyone joining us would know better what we're all about)

I don't know, I guess it could be useful. I'd create a "Restructural Committee" status for forum members who would also be admins (I guess all of us who chatted here in the last few days are part of this project, right?) and make the new category available only to us.

Let me know what you think!

And @Weisel, don't heistate to jump in^^ I guess there are still a few texts missing if you want to try and write one, I might try it later too but right now I need to go buy something for lunch :p

(Also I'm all for being corrected too, I just want to get better so it's always good to know^^)

Thank you so much @Curiousscarletteyes
You don't have to feel guilty, and I think nobody thinks that it's insulting. ^^ I didn't know that fanwork and fanfiction are the plural form, for example. (But Fanworks is ok, right? The plural form is fanworks, not fanwork... o.o) Thanks for your help. I put the text in our guidline post and corrected the other mistake, too. ^^

Ah, btw... would section be a better word? I thought about a section of a newspaper... Something like a column... since it should be something like that. Each "section" will get a banner we'll use when we post something for that topic. Maybe we'll have other stuff in the future... Ahh... I hope you can understand what I try to say. LOL XD In German it's "Rubrik" and when I translate it with ddict I get this: http://www.dict.cc/?s=Rubrik
(o.o)

@Weisel: There's a lot you can do. If you've any ideas, just let us know. We all are very eager and motivated at the moment. And I guess some are a bit too dominant (like me... I'm sorry, guys... It's just...I'm so full of ideas and I wanna plan on everything at the same time and immediately... I start to scare myself LOL XD) Please don't be shy... let us know what you think, what you want... or when you want to help. When more people help we can have more special projects. ^^ Is there a task you want? Like sourcing fanarts, asking Japanese people on pixiv if we are allowed to repost their art... Or another task you'd like to do? I don't want to give people tasks... (even if there are things we really have to do, like sourcing...) But I don't want to feel like a dictator. :3

@Yuneyn:

Oh yes, please! :3 That's a very good idea! Right, there are some things that should stay in a private part of the forum so that not everybody can see it. >,< (Also stuff like guidlines and so one...)

Okay, I'll open it then^^
I'll do it pretty quickly because - as I thought - my friend called me an hour ago to see if I wanted to meet this afternoon so I need to leave soon. So @Ahiku, don't hesitate to change things, it'll be pretty basic.

Thank you! Ok, I'll do this later. Or you can do this when you've a bit time left, there's no need to hurry. At the moment we all are RC people. So it's enough when it's done until next week when we start the blog. ^^

I'll start to draw various banners today. ^^

Ah, have a nice day then! X3

@Everyone You're all really incredible for being able to speak two languages so well ;w; <3 And are all wonderfully kind, fantastic people.

@Ahiku Fanworks can stay the way it is. That's fine :D Because there's "a work of art" when referring to one and then "works of art" when referring to more than one so it's good. I'm actually really glad we're all motivated and eager, and it's okay because you have lots of ideas and just want to get them all out there. I don't see it as dominant. You're just really inspired ;w;

Section is a good substitute! I understand what you're trying to say, don't worry xD. I just wasn't sure what to call our different sections. Sometimes whenever I need a word I blank and it's frustrating. Also, I looked up the definition to rubric and apparently it can be used as a section .___. But here we're all brought up knowing that it's a grading scale for a project so that association comes up.

@Weisel I agree! There is still lots to do and we can still use lots of help.

@Yuneyn I see that we all have our titles :D Thanks for creating another space we can discuss these things.

@Curiousscarletteyes: Aww ;_; *hugs you*

Ah, I see. Thanks for explaining, sensei!  Ok! Section then! :3 I'll complete our first text then.
Oh, I'm glad I'm not too dominant. >,< I've so many ideas at the moment... and I really hope that our blog will be a gain for the No. 6 fandom. We'll try our best!

Hmmm... we also need a text for our first blog entry. I'll think about it later. Or if you guys might think about it, too it would be fine. ^^

Btw., wenn do we wanna start? Right on Monday?

Okay guys, since I was studying for a midterm this week, it seems I missed all the action!

I just wanted to let you all know, though, that I already run a Homestuck art blog, which routinely posts new art or photosets to the internet, as well as reblogging a lot of pre-existing stuff. SO, I have practice at this kind of thing, and I would be happy to help out with a No. 6 source blog. Actually, what I think I'd like to do is go through the tag and complain at people for not sourcing. That is a thing I can do.

TBH, I haven't read through all four of the other pages of this discussion. Could someone please summarize it for me? ^^;;

Yeah, of course! :3 I've sent you an invitation. And as soon as I know how to put people in that CF group in our forum I'll put you in there so that you can see our private forum part. :3

A summary... Wait a second...

We have a blog: http://restructuralcommittee.tumblr.com/
We'll start to post things there next week, since we wanted to wait a couple of days until things have settled down on tumblr.

Our intention is to source stolen art, repost art with permission, reblog No. 6 art and links to fanfictions, but we also want to have our own stuff, like our monthly "fanworks of the month" where people can suggest their favorite fanfiction, fanart and blog (here or via submit on tumblr).

We're going to have a casual No. 6 Day each month and a couple of special events, for example Holy Days (Christmas).

And our second section will be RC Talk... I thought we could write those little omake things.

I thought it's important that we also do something. Not just reblogging or posting art that doesn't belong to us.

You can find guidlines (texts sources, tags, links) and the pictures in our private section. ^^

And I go and try to put you in the RC group now.   EDIT: Done! Please refresh! And welcome! :3

@Ahiku thank you so much!! :D
I'm super excited to be a part of this you guys. So excite.

Okay, as someone who runs a high-output artblog, I gotta say this: the queue is our friend, and so are drafts. If we start building a stock of drafts now, then we'll always have something to post when we want to, even when things are slow. In order to do that, what I'm thinking is that we could go through really, really old and/or not-much-reblogged fanart and put it in the drafts. Also, I know we're all from different countries, so we blog about things at all hours of the day and night. If we stuck stuff in the queue, it would ensure a steady flow of posts no matter who is posting.

I could get on any of these things this weekend, if people want.

The other thing is, tags. We gotta establish some tag guidelines. I'm thinking, we need a cute tag for original contributions our blog outputs, and then everything else gets tagged by artist, and character or canon location, and special tags like AU or whatever.

Now this is just how I run my blog. But I've found that it's a pretty efficient system. This is just a suggestion. If people don't want to tag stuff, or they hate the queue or something, I'm not gonna get mad or whatever. Just a thought!

(Also, your previous reply to me made it sound like this should be talked about on the administration board, but I wasn't sure which thread to put it in? There doesn't seem to be one for tags yet! Gomen!)
