So I remember seeing the No.6 tag filled with "Happy Birthday, Nezumi!" not that long ago (and a HILARIOUS post reminded me of that today), so I wanted to ask what you all think of that topic.

I think we should definitely celebrate! Both his and Shion's birthday... I mean, Nezumi doesn't have an official birthday (and neither does Inukashi) but Elanra and thesexymaid (and me) used numerology (well, i used astrology) to pick the day...
If you tell me when you want it by, I'll totally make some art or writing...

I think Nezumi's birthday is in April. X'D I don't use numerology or astrology or something... just my feeling that he's a spring child. ^^ I associate spring with a fresh breeze... Well...
It would be nice to celebrate Nezumi's birthday. ^^
(And his second birthday is September 7!)

I don't know I would have said to put Nezumi's birthday in a windy month or season but a quick search on google indicated there isn't someting like that ... April sounds fine though xD

According to Elanra and thesexymaid, Nezumi's birthday is May 9th. That makes him a Taurus, which is why I liked it. He and Shion are such a Virgo/Taurus couple it's not even funny. However, if you guys wanna change the date, that's fine XD

Ah, good to know ^^ I never saw that post but May sounds about fine too. I'm not too knowledgeable about astrology so I can't contribute much xD

I might be just thinking too much into it, but I don't think Nezumi would really like the idea of birthdays? For him, it would be just a date that doesn't mean much. Also, I don't think the Forest People would have the same calendar as us. My theory is that the Forest People don't even have names, and that's why Nezumi was first named by Rou, so going by that theory, I wouldn't think they really have the concept of birthdays either. But again, it's just my way of viewing the culture of the Forest People, it's not like it's official or anything ^^"

@AoYokai I agree that we can't make assumptions when it comes to the culture of the Forest People! (Actually, now that I think about it, what if instead of a birthday they celebrated a naming day of some kind? That could explain why Nezumi is so reluctant to share his.)
However, I think that people want a day to celebrate a specific character. Though perhaps that day shouldn't be a birthday, maybe we should still pick a day as Nezumi day?

Ah, I like the idea that we shouldn't have Nezumi's birthday, but a Nezumi day instead. :D
Would be a nice little event for April. (Or May.)
HAHA, world rat day! OMG. (Ah, and it's in April... spring...would also be fitting. I dunno, I'm obsessed with the thought that he's a spring child. XD)

Pfft! That's an actual thing? Ooh, now that I'm thinking about it, that's actually a cute idea. Imagine Shion and/or Karan using the date as a replacement for Nezumi's birthday, since no one knows when that is.
Maybe Shion stumbles upon the date randomly while planning meetings or reading about world history or something, and laughs. It's celebrated jokingly at first, with a small cake or something that Karan prepares as a gift. Nezumi's probably exasperated at the rat-name jokes, but somewhat touched too (and a little flustered because he's unused to kind things without expecting anything in return). Also, free food so he won't complain. After a while, the date starts to stick and become a yearly thing.
And, while they present the cake jokingly, Karan and Shion secretly enjoy a chance to spoil Nezumi. After all the negativity in his past, it's nice to celebrate something as simple as a birthday and give him the kind of love and positivity that he couldn't have before.

Yeah, Nezumi deserves a nice day and a little bit if spoiling. (And Shion and Karan also love it XD) So his birthday would be more like a namesday.

Shion loves spoiling Nezumi, and it'd really **** him off at first, because "it's useless" or because "he's a strong independent individual" and "I'm not cute I'm a bloody creature from the depths of hell fear me!" But in the end, Nezumi would get used to Shion's spoiling him, and he'd start enjoying it >:D

Just imagine Karan is giving Nezumi a hug and Nezumi's body tenses up and he's like. "O_O WTF." Well, she's doing it a couple of times, but then she thinks: "Hm...somehow he doesn't seem to like it. He seems to be very uncomfortable. Poor thing. I don't want him to feel bad."
And then, when Nezumi is expecting a hug, Karan won't give him one. And he thinks he can swallow it like a man and it's not affecting him, but in the end he's giving her the most disappointed and saddest expression she has ever seen. It's breaking her heart and she's hugging him for like 10 minutes. X'D And he's hugging her back und buries his face in the crook of her neck and enjoys it like a little boy. So much, that hhe doesn't even notice that Shion, Inukashi, Lili and the baby are staring at them. ^^

@Ahiku omg disappointed Nezumi :D :D :D I just love the idea of Nezumi finally being able to be selfish about things like attention from Shion or hugs from Karan, just because he never got the chance to think about stuff that will make him happy since he was so busy thinking about his survival or about things his grandma said. I just want to see him acting like a baby from time to time ^^"

Yeah, a bit of a selfish post-Reunion Nezumi is the best thing that could happen. Especially with his relationship with Shion and Karan.
And your idea is just too cute, Ahiku >w< God, I'd like to write something like that sometime but I wouldn't know how to go about it at all xD

That one is cute. You could draw it Ahiku, simply amazing idea.
I didn't focus on birthday but in my reunion crazy mind, after few months of living together in remodeled in bakery too house in chronos (since manga imply they live there again) Shion with Karan decide that they will make a most warm Chrismas for Nezumi. After dinner, gifts and they start to wish themself good things for new year, after Karan's "I wish you were always happy and feel like home here" and Shions's "It's not a wish, but more like promise, I will never left you and you will never fell scared and alone again". Nezumi started to cry, they both hug him, for long time until he stops. He would whisper Shion's name and maybe first time call Karan "mom" what he will later fell embarrassed about and in normal days still call her Karan.
Yeah I know fluff that even beat sugar, but that is one of most warm moments of my post-reunion head-canon of story since I tend to give them hard times XD.

Aww, your headcanon is also very cute. :D Even though I don't think he'd cry that quickly, but rather feel really pretty awkward. X'D I'd say he's a bit tsundere in a moment like that. Turning his face away, a nice red dusting his cheeks... maye a little pout. ^^
AH...GOD I had a hilarious headcanon when I walked home from work today... but I forgot it. I really try to remember that headcanon... well, maybe when I try to sleep later. ^^° I'll note it down, then. It was totally stupid...Nezumi was stupid. AHHH! My brain isn't okay today, but no that's no wonder, I just had 3 hours of sleep last night. X'D
