Hi^^

Just happened to pop by, sorry the board was gone for a time... I didn't get any email or anything warning me of this (I actually wouldn't have know if you hadn't mentioned it here), so it must have been unplanned on their end. If I ever get any notice that they're going to close or something I'll definitely at least forward it to Ahiku so that you can do something about it... (Hopefully they'll give a few days notice, because there will definitely be a few days soon when I may not be quite available) Well let's just hope it doesn't happen anyway !

Hi guys~ So I'm in the process of deleting all my Tumblr posts for some reason (basically I just want to keep an account to be able to check out fandom tags once in a while- anyway), and before it gets lost I still wanted to post my Secret Santa gift here, if @blackberrymilkshake still wants to access it sometimes.

Merry Christmas @blackberrymilkshake!!! I’m your Secret Santa from the No.6 Forum^^

Your prompt was: “NezuShi and winter cuddling.” so I’ve written a short ficlet based on this and I hope you’ll like it!!

Merry Christmas everyone else too! Have a wonderful time!

—————————————————————–

“How much longer?”

“Same as when you asked me 30 seconds ago.”
“You know I will keep asking until you shut down that damn laptop of yours.”
“I just need to finish this report.”

Abandoning his lying position, Nezumi sat up on the couch to glance at Shion on the opposite side of the hotel room. The white-haired man was focused on his work and didn’t even look up when he felt Nezumi’s eyes on him.

Obviously exasperated, Nezumi got up and swiftly moved to the desk, closing Shion’s laptop.

“Seriously, Nezumi?”
“Shion, you’ve been bugging me for months to show you the places I’ve seen. Do you really want to be working through the whole weekend?”

Shion stared into Nezumi’s eyes for a few seconds, then took a deep breath.

“Nezumi, I…” His tone was apologetic.
“Let’s go outside.”
“Can I just…”
“No, you can’t. And no more arguing or your laptop will end under a pile of snow.”

Defeated, Shion sighed and nodded, while Nezumi’s lips were curved in a satisfied grin.

*******

A few hours later, two very wet men came stumbling inside the room.

“I’m going to freeze to death if I don’t take these off!”
“Serves you right, for that snowball you put down my neck.”
“May I remind His Majesty that he threw the first ball?”
“Well I…”

Whatever Shion was about to say was cut short when Nezumi pulled him in for a kiss.

“You were saying?” Nezumi asked with a grin.
“…Anyway, let’s change before we catch a cold.”

A few minutes later they were both wearing dry clothes, and Nezumi was leading Shion towards the couch, holding on tightly to his arm.

“Nezumi…? Why are you…”
“Tsk, did you think I was going to give you the opportunity to go back to your work? Let me teach you the meaning of ‘vacation’, my dear Shion.”

Upon saying this, Nezumi gently pushed Shion down on the couch and turned around to kneel in front of the small fireplace.

“I made sure to ask for a room with a fireplace, nothing better than a warm fire when everything is covered with snow. Surely beats the freezer where I used to stay.”
“Did you spend the whole winter here?”
“No, fortunately. I arrived during the last month of winter only, but there was still snow everywhere and it was freezing cold. I was able to stay in a small room above the library where I worked, but it was very old and poorly insulated… Oook, here we go, the fire is burning fine.”

Nezumi picked up a warm blanket before settling down next to Shion on the couch. Covering them up, he let Shion nuzzle comfortably against his chest.

“So, how long did you stay here?” Shion asked, his voice muffled by Nezumi’s sweater.
“About eight months. It’s a nice place. The people are warm and welcoming, and I did like the atmosphere of those smaller villages around the big city.”
“Being surrounded by mountains like this is really nice, I have to say.”
“Yeah… see this first big one?” Nezumi pointed towards the window, “I’m taking you up there tomorrow. Provided you don’t bury me in snow before we arrive to the lifts.”

Shion’s only answer was a light chuckle.

“It’s also really nice in summer…” Nezumi’s voice was now lower, “we should come back then too.”
“Hmm, sounds good. Though I do like it now, the snow, the mountains… I don’t know, it just feels… comfortable… peaceful, too.”

Nezumi’s arms tightened around Shion’s waist and buried his face in the other man’s white hair.

“Yeah… feels right,” he whispered, and Shion reacted by humming softly.

The room became silent, save from the faint cracks of the wood burning in the fireplace. As the sun was setting behind the mountains, everything was bathed in a rose-orange color, giving the landscape an almost surreal atmosphere.

Shion’s eyes were wide open as he was staring through the window, taking in the breathtaking sight. All wrapped up in Nezumi’s warmth, Shion felt himself relax completely. The years of loneliness and waiting suddenly felt very far, almost as if they never happened. It was in these moments, when they would not speak but simply enjoy each other’s presence, that Shion could really measure how happy Nezumi made him.
They stayed like this for a long time, snuggled against each other.

Eventually, the sky became dark, but neither of them was awake to notice it then…

Karan's Bakery / Re: Smut-writing discussion

For me this is not only limited to smut. I used to read fics in French when I was 16 because the internet was starting and I didn't follow many English sites. But as of now I would absolutely be unable to read a fic in French. Something would seem off, smut or not.

But I may not be a good specimen for this kind of study lol- I live through the day in English. My phone, laptop, video games, I set everything to English. I read books in English, I talk to myself in English, and sometimes I mix up words when I speak French (my husband never misses an opportunity to make fun of me ahem)

So... I don't know. But this is an interesting topic maybe we should split this one to another place? (I'm on my phone in the car so I can't do much - I'm actually impressed that I managed to write this much without getting p*ssed at the phone keyboard lol)

Haha I don't know, I was just reacting at what was said on the first page, that maybe anyone reading smut in their native language will cringe a lot more?

Oh and there's no need to apologize, everyone has different tastes! But yeah, I'm afraid that there aren't many French fics... not only for No.6, but I'm guessing most fandoms. Maybe... when you're able to write in English you'll just switch to it because then you'll touch a wider audience. So probably a lot of people do this. (I did look one up in the No.6 fandom, just to see if it even existed, and it used the French novel names in the summary... "Aster", "le Rat", "Loueur-de-chiens", so I wanted to die and closed the tab)

Sorry for the off topic - I'll stop now!

"tube steak" - I laughed way too hard at this one.

Seriously, does anyone say that?

On a more serious note, I agree with lawlya, it's just horrible to read in your native language. I don't think I could read smut in French without screaming and hiding my laptop under my bed. Maybe the fact that I'm not native English helps me get some distance when reading/writing?

As for ...male parts words... I think I only used like p*nis once in a fic, but usually I try to avoid mentioning them directly because it makes me feel incredibly awkward lol.

Hello guys!

So I don't usually post this sort of thing, but I'm assuming a lot of us here love Japan dearly and were saddened by the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami 4 years ago.

Yahoo Japan is holding a campaign to generate donations. All you have to do is go to this page: http://search.yahoo.co.jp/ and type a search with "3.11" in it. That's all, Yahoo will then give 10yen for each search. (Which sounds small, but if many people participate it can grow into a lot more! Last year they got more than 25,000,000yen!)

The deadline is 14:59 UTC on March 11th. If you love Japan and have a few seconds to spare, don't hesitate to do it :) Thanks!

One thing bugs me though, why should they care that the pronunciation is the same as in Japanese? It's not like the German readers are all able to read the Japanese manga or know about it... So what kind of a difference would it make to directly name him "Eva"?
