Nezumi's Underground Room / Re: Nezushi poetry
« on: November 05, 2014, 02:15:24 pm »
@Vox: Thanks! ^///^ I'm really glad you enjoyed it! I was super nervous about posting it ^^;

Sonnets are really hard, but I really love writing them for some reason... I might write another one at some point soon. I wish you the best of luck on yours!!

@Ahiku: Thanks so much! ^^
(It is fantastic to be able to do that... and my creative writing teacher is letting me write the No. 6 fanfic that I've been wanting to write as my project, so you guys will be seeing that soon too!)

Okay, I know this topic has been inactive for ages, so I thought maybe I would sort of bring it back? I had to write a sonnet for my creative writing class, and it ended up being inspired by Nezumi and the West Block... so I thought I would post it here and see what you guys thought. I might post it on my blog later, but I'm not sure about it ^^;

It's called "Artist and Illusion"

A graceful artist claims a spot lit stage
weaving tales of woe and wonder for all,
a thirst for beauty his words assuage,
giving brief respite for a life banal.

With simple motion and a soothing voice,
all cares swept away on a gentle breeze
allowing even the lost to rejoice;
a fleeting reprieve from their ill at ease.

But someday this song will come to it’s end;
the bright light will dim, the colors will fade
and what hope is left when we can’t pretend?
If only from the truth we had not strayed.

With this song, a passing peace may be known;
petals of spring painted with words alone.

I think that is going to be really amusing XD

I have one to ass though, from recent a recent event:

- You friend tells you that your fashion is what she thinks a fem Nezumi would wear

@Vox: Haha, I live on the east coast too! Unfortunately, I don't get to avoid the doldrums at all :/ I go home for the summer when it is really hot, and then to the mountains for the frigid winters. Yay, all of the extremes!

@Everyone: You guys are all cracking me up, and my friends are starting to think I'm crazy! (Well, more so than they already did, anyway).

@Ahiku and @listenforthelove: I'm okay! The weather is really strange though! It's usually around 50°F (10°C), so everyone kind of laughed when we had a Winter Weather Advisory. No one expected the snow at all. I've been hanging out with my roommates and a friend that got snowed in. We've had hot chocolate, coffee, and soup, so it has been pretty nice. We've mostly watched anime and worked on homework all day ^^' The snow was pretty much gone by this afternoon though..

@Vox: I live in the Southern region of the United States (I absolutely hate it here -_-), but I live in the mountains during the school year.

I don't have much time right now, so I can't completely read the rest of this thread, but I hope everyone is doing okay!!

...you have boot like Nezumi's and wear them at every opportunity
...you find yourself reading Macbeth again...for, like, the zillionth time
...you get a new scarf and immediately wrap it the way Nezumi wraps his superfiber fabric
...you have an almost irrational love of cardigans

Oh wow! I just found this thread, actually! I think it's really cool to get to know everyone a little more ^^
I'm going to be cosplaying White-haired Kaneki Ken tomorrow and looking super creepy. (At least by my tiny mountain school's standards)

@Vox: I don't go to bars or drink either.. but my friends do, sometimes. Ah, well. I'm happier here on my laptop for now. And Fem!France sounds seriously adorable!

also, Shion nooooooo! Poor baby! XD

Conference Room / Re: No. 6 Day - ideas and prompts
« on: October 28, 2014, 04:32:37 pm »
I think it might be a good idea to keep adding to the prompts list over time.... Maybe we could have a section for them on the blog? We would have to come up with a creative tag, but something about inspiration? I can't think of a good tag right now, but maybe someone else has an idea?

Sorry if this isn't very clear ^^;

« on: October 27, 2014, 03:14:32 pm »
Hello, everyone!! I feel like I'm coming in a bit late (I've been wanting to post here for a few days now, but I've had a really busy week!) Anyway, I think all of you guys have some really great ideas, and I am really happy to actually see communication going on between people in the No. 6 fandom.

Even though the wiki is still active, I think it would be great to offer some help there. I would definitely be willing to help :) Maybe we could contact the two people still working in the project and offer some help and see what they say? They started out with more than two people, so they would probably appreciate the offer. And I think the texts are looking great, AoYokai! It will be nice to have some light humor around ^-^

Well, I guess that is all I really have to say for now, but I look forward to talking to you guys!

I've been pretty quiet too, since I've only been around in the fandom for a few months now, and I don't really think I have all that much to contribute at the moment? I've been a bit low on inspiration myself lately, but that may be just because of my situation at the moment ^-^;

I really like the idea of an annual week, and if we decide and announce the themes for each day fairly early, then hopefully people will have time to see it and prepare their things ahead of time. Events for birthdays and special events seems like a good idea as well.... I also really like the idea of a No. 6 day every month, as was discussed earlier... I just think it might keep the fandom a bit more lively, and I always love finding new fan works.

Of course not ^^ That's why I've written that post on Tumblr in the first place.

Thanks! I'm just always hesitant to jump in on things ^^;

Oh! I hadn't thought about that! Your ideas for Children's Day sound really awesome!
Bakery and Domestic Day also sound really great! So much opportunity for adorable things! :D

When I saw the post on tumblr about No. 6 Day and Shion's Birthday, I thought it was something from Majora's Mask XD

I hope you guys don't mind me jumping in, but I think both ideas sounds really great!
When I read Children's Day, I thought of when Karan would have special sales at her bakery for children. Maybe on some other day we could have a day for things about Karan with children?  I think that would be really cute :3

Forest Garden / Re: About you and everyone!

Well, everyone seems to be introducing themselves here, so I guess I should give it a hand. I'm not very good at this kind of thing though, so bear with me.

I guess I should start by saying that my name is Sommer, I will be 20 in less than a month, and I live in a painfully conservative town in the southern United States. I attend college as an English professional writing major, and I study Japanese language and culture in hopes to become a translator in the future.

I absolutely love books and reading. My family jokingly calls my room "The Library" on account of the fact that my bookshelves are crammed full and pretty much every other available space is covered in stacks of books. I have a love for pretty much every type of book, but I do love the classics and I have always had a slight obsession with Shakespeare.

I also love writing, which is a good thing considering my career path. I have not written any fanworks on my own yet, but I do run a few rp blogs on tumblr. My newest is a Nezumi/Shion ask blog that is having and extremely slow start and really needs a lot of love. If you want to come check it out, the url is this-is-our-truth. ^-^ Hopefully I will be posting some short one-shots and some AMVs pretty soon as well.

I am so glad that I found this forum of such amazing fans, and I can't wait to talk to some of you!
